Bhavnagar Motor Sangh was established in 1948 and is a common men’s association with the main objective of solving their uncommon problems that are related to the transport industry. During the time of establishment, no expectations of high profit or money making were involved. Nominal fee of 50 paisa/year was charged if one wanted to become a member. The concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has been immensely into discussion these days. However, along with the services that the association provides, numerous activities for the betterment of the society have been carried out from the times when it was established. Since 1971, the association operates a high selling HPCL petrol pump whose revenue is utilized into funding of these activities.

It is remarkable to know that “Mahila Mandal” has been pioneered by the ladies of the members of the association in accordance to increase unity and emotional bonding between each other. This is a small initiative that can contribute into welfare of the society in an approach that would be analyzed and measured through all directions. The mandal works on the ethics and ideology of giving back to the society. It is astonishing to understand that none of the members (in the committee or the mandal) take compensation against their contribution; it is completely voluntary and runs on the grounds of humanity. .
